The Edge peaks at an EPA-estimated 21 city/29 highway MPG when you choose front-wheel drive and the turbocharged 4-cylinder motor. Fuel economy measurements for the GMC Terrain are far more efficient with the standard motor, while being about the same with the available 2.0L engine.

The standard 1.5L turbocharged engine in the Terrain receives an EPA-estimated 26 city/30 highway MPG. If you choose the 2.0L engine, instead, you’re still going to receive an EPA-estimated 22 city/28 highway MPG.

    Other technologies of note in the GMC Terrain include choosing between various drive modes, such as Normal, Snow, and Tow/Haul.
    The overall experience of the Ford Edge is less refined, without the same diversity of available driving modes to cater to your current needs.
