Things to Do
Minnetrista is the birthplace of the Ball jar, and today, visitors can learn all about this creation at the museum located on the grounds. This rich tradition of glass making is then continued with a variety of glass-making workshops for children and adults.
No matter what your interests may be, from crafts to music, Minnetrista Gathering Place has something to offer you with engaging workshops, educational programs, community events, and interactive exhibits. Their various events are constantly rotating and changing, so you can visit this community over and over again.
Children will also love what this area has to offer with a Backyard Garden play area, Imagination Playground, Art Maker Space, and Clubhouse. This community is for all ages, though, so Minnetrista also hosts After Hours events for those who are 21 years of age and older.
Even if you don’t want to attend an event, you’ll still be able to have a relaxing afternoon on the grounds. The Nature Area at Minnetrista features three representations of Indiana native habitats: a tall grass prairie, man-made pond, and woodland area with nine varieties of Indiana trees.
