Confirmed Service Customer
Wait time to get my car in for service was over 1 week. 2 years ago a light would come on when I put the car in park telling me to "shift to park". I paid to have it replaced and now I need another one because the one I paid for is bad. I should not have to pay again for this! The service advisor and check-out girl were great. However, the dealership management leaves the service department understaffed and the customers suffer. Picking up my car was chaos and the staff were stressed to almost breaking when 5 people showed up to pick up their cars simultaneously. (5pm)

They inspected my daughter's car and let her leave the shop without stickers on the window! She didn't notice it until that evening and they were closed. She brought it in the next day and what should have taken 2 minutes to do (put missing stickers on the car) took well over an hour! On the plus side, they were accommodating when my daughter started getting stressed as she had to be somewhere and they couldn't give her the car back. (something about the new stickers needing to be run though the state) They drove her to her destination and then brought her car to her. They also agreed to give her a free oil change. We appreciate the gestures. It was just a bit stressful as it wasn't explained clearly to my daughter why it would take so long for what seemed like a simple task.

I was scheduled to work at my part-time job today from 10 AM to 4 PM. I went into my garage to start my car and unfortunately it would not turn over. Many lights lit up on the dash and I really didn't know which one was the root of the problem. I called a local towing service in my area, and they arrived 15 minutes later. The technician looked under the hood and said that my battery was completely dead. He got it started and said that I needed to get a new battery ASAP. I immediately call North Star Chevrolet in Moon Twp., PA where I purchased my Chevy Trax. I spoke to the manager on duty, Dave and asked if he could get me in today. He checked his schedule and stated things were very busy today, but if I did not mind waiting a little longer than usual, he would squeeze me in if I came out right away. I agreed and left immediately for North Star. Much to my surprise I arrived at 11:14 AM and my new battery was in, and I was ready to go at 11:46 AM. WOW! Now that's what I call service! I have been a loyal customer at North Star Chevrolet from the days they were located in Carnegie, PA and at their present location in Moon Twp., PA. I have purchased four different cars over the years and have always had them serviced at North Star. This is why I return again and again to North Star; the service is always outstanding, and the sales department has always worked with me on price when purchasing a new automobile. I especially want to thank Dave for his friendly manner and scheduling me on a day that was extremely busy. Service was great but most dealerships provide at least coffee for those of us waiting. Your coffee was in the sales area and I went several times and it was always empty. You get zero stars for that. Do better...my Acura dealership treats us much better.
