Getting Started
To activate the Kicker MultiPro Tailgate Audio System, follow these steps:
The Kicker system offers three ways to connect your audio devices: Bluetooth, AUX, and USB.
Bluetooth Connection
The control panel on the tailgate allows you to manage your audio experience seamlessly. You can adjust the volume, pause, skip, or rewind tracks using the buttons on the panel. Additionally, the system includes a 110-volt outlet for charging other devices or powering small electronics.
Powering Off
The system will automatically shut down when the tailgate is closed or returned to the upright position. Alternatively, you can manually power off the system by pressing and holding the power button until the control panel lights turn off.

- Drop the Tailgate: Lower the MultiPro Tailgate to its full-width step position. This action will automatically power on the audio system, indicated by the illumination of the control panel.
- Powering On: The system operates independently of the truck’s main infotainment system, so the vehicle does not need to be running.
The Kicker system offers three ways to connect your audio devices: Bluetooth, AUX, and USB.
Bluetooth Connection
- Enter Pairing Mode: Press and hold the play/pause button on the control panel until the Bluetooth indicator starts flashing rapidly.
- Pair Your Device: On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), navigate to the Bluetooth settings and select “KICKER” from the list of available devices.
- Play Music: Once paired, you can stream music wirelessly. Ensure your device is not connected to the truck’s interior Bluetooth system to avoid connection issues.
- Select AUX Mode: Press the power button until the AUX icon lights up on the control panel.
- Connect Your Device: Use an AUX cable to connect your device to the AUX input on the tailgate.
- Enjoy Your Music: Play music directly from your device.
- Select USB Mode: Press the power button until the USB icon lights up.
- Connect via USB: Plug your device into the USB port on the tailgate using a USB cable. This connection also charges your device and can play audio files directly from a USB storage device.
