- Updated Platform: The Terrain will be built on an updated version of the GM D2XX platform, shared with the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox.
- New Engine and Transmission: It is expected to feature a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 175 horsepower, paired with either a continuously variable transmission (CVT) for front-wheel-drive models or an eight-speed automatic for all-wheel-drive models.
- Improved Fuel Efficiency: The new transmissions are expected to enhance fuel efficiency, although specific EPA ratings are not yet available.
- Trim Levels: The 2025 Terrain will continue to offer the same trim levels as the 2024 model: SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali.
- Pricing: While exact prices have not been released, the starting MSRP is expected to be around $31,000, with the top-tier Denali trim potentially climbing to $41,000.
