Confirmed Service Customer
The oil change was scheduled for 10:40. Car was finally ready around 12:00. When I started the car to leave the dealership it felt a little rough but I didn't think anything of it. After being home for 1/2 hour I needed to go back out and really felt like it was running rough (idling high etc). By this time the dealership was closed and the next day was Sunday. I did not drive the car again until Monday morning to go to work. When I started the car A LOT of smoke came out of the tailpipe. It was still running really rough. I left work around 9am and went to the dealership (again when I started the car smoke came out of the tail pipes). At the dealership they said they would look at it. Around 3pm I got a message back noting the car was ready to be picked up. When asked what the problem was I was told they put TOO much oil in during the oil change on Sat. They drained it and did a new oil change. If I had not been paying attention and taken the car back in Monday morning (and the fact that I did not drive it Sunday) this could have caused MANY issues with the car. I am astonished that something in this day and age can happen. Are the techs not trained and machines calibrated to only put in the correct amount of oil. ? My service tech on Sat also told me my tires were fine (when I know they are not and need them replaced). The service guy on Monday was great but I never should have had to go back.
