2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV Overview
The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV is an upcoming new vehicle from Chevrolet and the first-ever all-electric version of the popular and iconic Silverado pickup truck. The Silverado EV is one of the most anticipated trucks ever, and many customers at Courtesy Chevrolet have already reserved theirs. If you’d like to do the same, there are two core options to choose from: Work Truck or WT and RST.

WT Trim
The WT is the base model. WT stands for Work Truck, and this is a configuration that is aimed at the fleet customer. In other words, Chevrolet has taken a minimalistic approach with creature comforts and the like. The WT is also an excellent option for trailering as it can tow up to 10,000 pounds and gives you the option of a trailer camera system that provides 14 views and which integrates with the infotainment system. If you need more towing capability, Chevrolet will offer another version of the WT that can tow up to 20,000 pounds. Note that this model will not be available to later in the model year. All models have a midgate design that lets you fold the wall between the bed and the cabin for additional space. The multi-configuration tailgate can also function as a bed extended for additional cargo space that way as well. All models will have a dual motor configuration and thus be all-wheel drive. The WT makes 510 hp and will have an EPA-estimated range of up to 400 miles. Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 charging will be supported, and with a Level 3 connection, you can charge 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes.

RST Trim
The RST is the premium option among the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV trim levels. This is not only true now but will remain the case when the trim lineup for the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV is expanded. The RST has a sportier appearance. It also has a beefier powertrain that doles out 664 hp. It does give up a little ground in the trailering department, but the 8,000-pound rating should be more than enough for the average consumer. We do expect higher tow ratings to be available later on. Most of our customers at Courtesy Chevrolet have chosen to reserve the RST because it has the much more upscale interior. That includes premium leather upholstery, bolstered seating, a fixed glass roof, a massive infotainment touch screen and much more. Chevrolet is currently only offering a five-passenger crew cab with both the WT and RST. While it hasn’t released official specifications yet, we do know that it is very similar to the standard crew cab, so you can expect about 43 inches of front headroom, 45 inches of front legroom and 43 inches of second-row legroom.

Other Trim Levels
Chevrolet has opted for a staggered release of the announced 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV trim levels: Work Truck or WT and RST. The WT models will ship first, and the RST models will follow at some point later in the model year. Additional trim levels will be offered once Chevrolet has delivered on all reservations. A Trail Boss edition has been announced. Chevrolet has also stated that there will be even more configurations but hasn’t announced if those include the High Country, LTZ and the like.
