Performance & Power
Performance in this segment can be a little underwhelming, but that's not the case with the Trax. This model has an EcoTec® turbo engine, so you'll get torque ratings that are higher than the horsepower numbers. That means when you're cruising through Dewitt, passing on the highway, or driving on a backroad, you'll have a little more zip than many of the competitors! FWD is standard, but you'll be happy to know all trims can upgrade to AWD to better adapt to the Michigan winters.
Technology
The Trax has the basics covered. For example, you'll get Bluetooth for hands-free calling and a backup camera to help you easily maneuver in and out of a parallel parking space in Waverly MI without taking a few tries. But the Trax goes a little further with other features that are available across the trims. You can gain access to OnStar subscription services, turn the cabin into a 4G WIFI hotspot that passengers will appreciate as you drive around Haslett MI, and enjoy your playlist even more on a premium sound system. All Trax's also come with a touchscreen, competitive smartphone integrations from Apple & Android, and available apps.
Along with convenience and entertainment amenities, the Trax does have several advanced safety features. Whether you need a little help parking, staying in your lane, or seeing if it's safe to move over on the highway, the Trax has your back once you surpass the base trim.
Interior
It's what's inside the present box that counts...but that doesn't mean we cannot appreciate great packaging! Not only is the Trax well-equipped, but it looks great too On the inside we love the chrome and contrast stitching accents on the top trims, the available leatherette seating that can come in classy two-tone colors, and the seating flexibility so you can take advantage of the cargo area.
