Size and price

The Equinox EV is a compact SUV while the Blazer EV is a midsize SUV. The latter is therefore larger and roomier, but also more expensive. That said, both models have very similar cargo capacities, as most of the Blazer EV’s extra size has gone toward passenger space instead.

The 2024 Equinox EV offers 26.4 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats and a maximum of 57.2 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. The 2024 Blazer EV’s cargo capacities are 25.5 cubic feet behind the seats and 59.1 cubic feet with the seats folded. However, the Blazer EV has a couple more inches of front and rear leg room, more front headroom, and significantly more hip and shoulder room all around.

    Range and performance

    Both the Equinox EV and Blazer EV are offered with single- and dual-motor electric powertrains, with all-wheel drive available. They have similar performance in every respect, from acceleration and range to charging times.

    The new Equinox EV earns an EPA-estimated maximum range of 319 miles, and the new Blazer EV tops out at 324 miles.[1] The Blazer EV, however, will offer an SS trim capable of dashing from 0-60 mph in just 4 seconds. If you’re looking for great acceleration, this is the model you’ll want to hold out for.

      Tech and safety

      While the Chevy Equinox EV is offered with an optional 17.7-inch touchscreen, a huge display that dwarfs those found in the competition, the Chevy Blazer EV gets this same touchscreen as standard equipment.

      Both models also get an 11-inch digital information center, over-the-air updates, wireless smartphone connectivity, and an optional head-up display. Additionally, both SUVs get the Chevy Safety Assist suite of smart driver assistance features as well as access to Super Cruise™ — a hands-free driving system that works on over 400,000 miles of roads.
      Due to its higher starting price, the Blazer EV tends to have more of these features as standard across its trim lineup while they may cost a little extra in the Equinox EV.
