New Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Pickup Trucks Near Farmington Hills, MI
From working hard to playing hard, whatever you have in mind for your new Chevrolet Silverado 1500, there's a trim meant for you. With eight trims, three bed sizes, three cab types, and three engine, the 2018 Silverado 1500 is a little like a choose-your-own-adventure story, but in a much cooler, much bigger package.
2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 | Cabs, Beds, & Engines:
- Bed Sizes: As we mentioned, there are three bed sizes: 5.7 feet (Short Box), 6.6 feet (Standard Box), 8 feet (Long Box). Not all boxes/beds can go together, so be sure to ask a sales manager about what you're looking for.
- Cab Options: In order of smallest to biggest, the three cab options are: Regular Cab, Double Cab, and Crew Cab.
- Engine Choices: While you'll never want for power in the 2018 Chevy Silverado, there are three options for how you get it. The base engine is a 4.3-liter V6 capable of 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque, but if that sounds good, power only improves; the next engine option is a 5.3-liter V8 serving up 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, but if you want the biggest power output, the available 6.2-liter V8 is capable of 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 | Trims:
- 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 WT (Work Truck): As the name suggest, the WT is built for work. It has a somewhat spartan design, making it ideal for the rough-and-tumble environment of the worksite. With clever design, Chevy gives you the CornerStep® rear bumper—a foothold cut out of a space in the bumper to help you hoist yourself into the bed. While some truck brands spent time and money developing deployable stairs and ladder systems, Chevy took the Occam's-razor approach and designed a step that has no moving parts, which means it can't break down on you, which means you won't have to pay to fix it. Thanks, Chevy.
- 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 LS: Adding chrome cladding and a few tech features like an onboard OnStar® 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot, a remote-locking tailgate, and keyless remote entry, this trim builds on the WT, giving you something with a few more creature comforts and conveniences. If you treat the cab of your truck like your mobile office, this trim has the necessities.
- 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 Custom: 20-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels mean you stand tall in the Silverado 1500 Custom, but the rests of the body gets the monochrome treatment, with body-color headlight bezels and grill surrounds, giving this trim a classy, upscale exterior look.
- 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT: This mid-level trim offers balance, with an E-Z Lift & Lower tailgate, 8.0-inch MyLink® Touchscreen, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel; it's both capable and powerful as well as loaded with creature comforts, which means the best of both worlds.
- 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Z71: Chevy isn't being coy with the naming here—this trim is the LT trim with the fine distinction of the Z71 Off-Roading package as standard equipment. Say hello to Rancho® shocks, an underbody shield, recovery hooks, and Hill Descent Control, all factory-installed and ready to roll.
- 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ: This trim takes that 5.8-liter engine and makes it standard issue, and same deal for the Trailering Package. If you have hauling to do, this is the trim to start with. It also features leather seating surfaces, for the guy who has to do the driving on those long hauls, and it also has a locking differential, external transmission cooler, and LED Head- and Taillights—it's a perfect fit for those who have a lot of stuff to tow and a long way to tow it.
- 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71: As with the Silverado LS Z71, this trim takes the Silverado 1500 LTZ and adds the Z71 Off-Roading Package. If you're looking to catch some mud, look no further.
- 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 High Country: And finally, the top dog. The High Country trim gives you the best of everything—that means leather front seats, both heated and ventilated, power adjustable pedals, 20-inch wheels, 6-inch side steps, a factory-installed spray-in bedliner, and the Enhanced Driver Alert Package, all standard issue on the High Country trim.
