Take on the Streets of Bristol, CT from Behind the Wheel of a GMC Yukon
A family vehicle needs to have a lot of things. It needs to have space, both for people and cargo. It needs to be safe. It also ideally needs to be fun to drive. A little extra power under the hood means that you're ready for anything, and also manages to put a smile on your face. The GMC Yukon is great for carrying around family members, but make no mistake; this is no minivan. The GMC Yukon packs plenty of power under the hood.
Performance
The 2017 GMC Yukon gets its power from a standard 5.3-liter V8 engine, which gives it 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. If that's not enough for you, the 2017 GMC Yukon has a bit more up its sleeve; its available 6.2-liter V8 engine produces 420 horsepower and a whopping 460 pound-feet of torque. When properly equipped, it can tow up to 8,400 pounds, making it perfect for hauling a boat on a weekend trip down in Southern Connecticut.
Comfort & Safety
The standard GMC Yukon comfortably seats eight, although that can vary. The optional front bench seat increases seating capacity to nine, and the optional second-row bucket seats reduce seating to seven. No matter what you choose, your passengers will be comfortable and safe, thanks to the standard front and rear parking sensors, rearview camera, traction and stability control, and antilock disc brakes. Additional available safety features include rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, forward collision alert with automatic braking and more. The GMC Yukon will give you peace of mind when you're out on the road.
