After bringing my truck in 5 times to fix a hard shift problem.I feel very let down by your service manager. The last visit I dropped my truck off and it stayed overnight so the service tech could drive it in the morning on a cold startup.I had indicated on a previous visit this is when in was happening the most.I also said in city driving and lower speeds is when it could be reproduced. When I came and picked up my truck I was told they drove truck on highway and could not reproduce the shifting problem. Then the manager said my truck had the six speed transmission and it was not the eight speed transmissions that were in question. OK I DON'T LIKE TO ARGUE but I left and when I got home I decided to contact GM.I knew I had a eight speed transmission, it was one of the selling points of the truck for me,I pull trailers! If your service manager doesn't seem to know something like what type of transmission my truck has they shouldn't be working this type of job,but to tell me something like my truck had a different transmission than it has REALLY! Ok I have bought two New vehicles from your dealership, I will not be back for this poor performance. I was redirected to another GM dealership, they did what I told them, kept truck overnight test drove the next morning, in town driving lower speeds.Guess what the truck reproduced the hard shift problem. They kept it for the day programed some stuff and I picked it up the next morning and drove it for two days now no hard shifting yet. Please tell Bob McCosh if he cares, poor service , poor customer communications = no new or repeat customer! Thanks for making me bring my truck there 5 times for nothing! Brent Weir 573-822 4305
My name is Jason Lang and I am the Service Manager here at the dealership. I was on vacation that week you were in so it wasn't me you talked to. If you'd like, give me a call when you get time so I can get some clarification and look into this further.
