What's New for the 2020 Cadillac Escalade?
In 2020, the Cadillac Escalade gets some minor changes (primarily aesthetic) to keep going strong and retain consumer interest in the latest model year. More significant changes, GM reports, are in store for the 2021 model year, which means that the Escalade gets some refreshments to its appearance for 2020. There are no mechanical changes to the beloved Cadillac SUV this year. Nor are there changes to the trim lineup. Even though the Escalade hasn't changed much in the past year, it still gets praise from critics and consumers alike. As of 2019, the Escalade has won the distinction of "Best Buy" from Consumer Reports for five years in a row. There are four distinct trim levels to choose from, and each one can be finished in one of eight dazzling colors.
Inside and out, there is a lot to enjoy in the 2020 Cadillac Escalade. The interior is a state-of-the-art cabin with heated outboard seats in the rear and front seats that provide year-round comfort with ventilation and built-in heating. If you think that the Escalade seems more spacious than ever, it's because the interior layout has been slightly modified to provide more legroom and headroom for passengers and more cargo space in the rear. With this roomy layout, the Escalade can easily seat up to eight passengers comfortably across multiple rows. Even at the base trim level of the Escalade, you'll get a Bose sound system with 16 speakers. Heated seats in the first two rows are standard, too. A power-operated sunroof is another amenity found on three of four trim levels. The seats, which are 18-way adjustable, have a massage function as well in the top trim. Leather accents on the instrument panel and door trim give the 2020 Escalade a more polished and dignified appearance. Door pillar trim and a console cooler are other standard features if you choose the top trim. A nine-inch infotainment screen with wireless charging is another notable amenity.
From the Standard to the Platinum, all four trim levels of the Escalade share the same engine. This engine is a 6.2L gasoline engine with eight cylinders. The engine is combined with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Ride control suspension, another highlight of the Escalade's mechanical system, ensures your rides in the Escalade are as smooth as possible regardless of the terrain.
