8.6.17 Sunrise Ascent on Mt Washington
Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country (ASPNC) – SUNRISE ACSENT ON MT WASHINGTON - For years, Littleton Chevrolet has donated and supported this amazing experience. This unique event is a fundraiser for Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country (ASPNC). Before sunrise, on Sunday, August 6th, athletes and teams ascend the Mount Washington Auto Road, determined to reach the 6,288-foot summit of Mount Washington. Each team includes an adaptive athlete and a team of “mules” who help an athlete needing assistance, or accompany an independent athlete as he or she climbs the 7.6 miles to the summit. Together the teams are inspired by the beauty of the sunrise, the majesty of the Presidential Range and the determination shared amongst them.

LITTLETON CHEVROLET ASSISTS IN 30TH ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARADE
Every year the Littleton Area Chamber of Commerce holds the Holiday Parade the day after Thanksgiving as a way to welcome the arrival of Santa Claus. The vehicle of choice was none other than the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible…BLACK ON BLACK!! We also aided the Littleton United Methodist Church in pulling their float with a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado Double Cab. Their theme was a very merry Dr. Seuss’ Christmas. Over 1000 people lined the streets of Littleton to kick off the holiday season. Everyone at Littleton Chevrolet is extremely proud to continue its support of numerous local and regional events within our communities.

Cannon Mountain Names Littleton Chevrolet Official Car Dealership
FRANCONIA, N.H. - Cannon Mountain has again been named Littleton Chevrolet the ski area's Official Car Dealership. Littleton Chevrolet has been serving as the Official Car Dealership for Cannon Mt. since 2010. In making the announcement, Cannon's director of sales and marketing, Greg Keeler, said, "We're especially pleased to have this partnership with one of the area's leading local businesses. This will enable us to do joint marketing that will build awareness of both Cannon and the dealership, and will 'drive' visitors to Cannon and into Littleton Chevrolet's showrooms year-round."
This partnership is an example of the collaborative spirit and can-do attitude of the people who call this area home," added Duane Coute, General Manager of Littleton Chevrolet. "We're proud to partner with Cannon Mountain, not only because they are another respected North Country business, but because they also share our ideals. We both strive to provide an excellent product and exceptional service along with great value."According to Keeler, Cannon's success over many years has opened new doors for the ski area. "A major partnership was a next logical step for us at a time when Cannon is experiencing substantial investment and expansion, and more people are discovering how great Cannon is. For the past few ski seasons, we had more first-time skiers and passholders than ever before and saw record-breaking revenues and visits, even in a challenging economy. We believe that this collaboration will be one more piece in our marketing mix that will help to continue Cannon's growth."

When the Littleton Regional Healthcare campus on St. Johnsbury Road was built in 2001, the birthing center was designed to handle 200 births each year. They are now welcoming 350 newborns annually. That is why we are going to expand and renovate our birthing suite. They want to offer rooms where new parents and their families can enjoy the birth of their children and grandchildren. This exciting project will make a stay in the birthing suite much more comfortable for laboring moms, their babies, and their family and friends. They look forward to serving many families for years to come by offering a safe, peaceful, and comfortable Birthing Suite.
The total cost to renovate and expand the Sauter Birthing Suite is $548,000. They have raised more than $200,000. They have a long way to go to raise enough to pay for the entire project. Please support our campaign, "Delivering Our Future" now. Healthy babies are the future of the communities served by LRH.
8/17/2016 For More Information Contact: Gail Clark, Director Marketing & Community Relations Littleton Regional Hospital 600 St. Johnsbury Road , 603-444-9304 gclark@lrhcares.org , - During your travels in Littleton and surrounding towns, you may see a white Chevy ¾ Ton Pick-Up with a very decorative wrap indicating “Partners in a Greener Tomorrow.” Littleton Chevrolet is partnering with Littleton Regional Healthcare to ensure that LRH can continue to transport biomass ‘fly ash’ to area farmers. Littleton Chevrolet made a generous donation of $10,000 toward the purchase of a vehicle capable of transporting the ash.
In 2013, LRH constructed a $2.8 million dollar biomass plant that went live in January 2014. The biomass plant saves LRH approximately $400,000 in fuel costs each year. LRH expects a return on the investment in less than 4 years. The biomass plant at LRH uses a highly efficient electrostatic precipitator (ESP) to remove more than 99% of the particulate matter from the flue gas stream. The particulate matter, or fly ash, is negatively charged prior to entering the precipitator. Inside the unit at LRH, collection plates which are positively charged attract and retain the fly ash which is collected into barrels at the bottom of the unit. The ash is then recycled by local farmers to help boost production of healthy crops. This fly ash is similar to lime.
LRH currently provides 17 tons of the fly ash to Meadowstone Farm in Bethlehem; Hicks Farm in Littleton; and the Gibson Farm in Monroe. If these farmers were to place a value on the fly ash it would be equivalent to $166 per ton. This is a cost savings to local farmers of approximately $2,822 annually. The fly ash maintains a healthy level of ph for the soil, which produces a better crop.
Meadowstone Farm in Bethlehem states, “The importance of locally grown produce has increased over the past few years. Eating locally grown produce has many benefits including the creation of local jobs, fresher and healthier food, and numerous environmental benefits. LRH offers a service that saves local farmers the added expense of purchasing lime to keep the pH level at a comfortable level. The majority of crops grown in New Hampshire prefer to grow in an only slightly acidic soil. Soil in New Hampshire tends to be too acidic and needs to be "sweetened" by raising the pH. This is ordinarily done through the use of lime which can be purchased by farmers. It can also be done with fly ash. Access to fly ash provided by LRH saves money for local farmers and helps improve their souls and pastures. We are fortunate to have community partners like Littleton Regional Healthcare and Littleton Chevrolet willing to look out for farmers in Northern New Hampshire.”

Duane Coute, General Manager at Littleton Chevrolet worked with LRH to obtain this ¾ Ton Chevy Pick-Up that was needed in order to allow LRH to continue to haul the amount of fly ash produced by the biomass plant to local farmers. Coute states, “Littleton Chevrolet is pleased to partner with LRH on this important project. More and more families and individuals prefer to purchase local grown produce for a number of reasons. Local grown food has more nutrients due to a shorter time between harvest and home; locally grown produce supports the local economy; and by purchasing locally grown produce individuals and families are reinvesting in businesses and services in their community. At Littleton Chevrolet, we cannot think of a better way to invest in the community than to ensure that farmers receive support from businesses like Littleton Regional Healthcare. We look forward to being “Partners in a Greener Tomorrow” for many years to come. For more information about the biomass plant at LRH, please contact Henri Wante, Director of Engineering and Facilities by calling (603) 444-9261.
