              Safety Alert Seat

              When it comes to avoiding dangers on the open road, there’s more than one way to get your attention. The optional Safety Alert Seat warns you of potential traffic hazards by sending directional pulses through the driver’s seat cushion. The Safety Alert Seat can vibrate the left, right, or both sides of the seat cushion to indicate the direction of the danger ahead. This feature works in concert with the Rear Park Assist, Forward Collision Alert, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert systems, just to name a few.

                Hands-Free Power Liftgate

                Ever wish your SUV could lend you a hand when you have yours full? The 2021 Equinox does just that with its available hands-free power liftgate. Just kick your foot underneath the rear bumper and watch the liftgate open on its own. The same motion also closes the power liftgate, making this feature a truly hands-free experience.

Fortunately, the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus System puts your favorite music, apps, and climate control options within easy reach. Standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility means you can use any compatible smartphone to talk and text hands-free, stream music, and extend your apps to the 8-inch touch screen display. The Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium System adds navigation, so you won’t have to worry about getting lost, whether you’re in a new city or close to home.

                    What better way to stay connected than with the power of Alexa? This feature comes built into the 2021 Chevy Equinox, giving you the ability to stream your favorite tunes, interact with your connected smart home devices, and even add items to your Amazon shopping list. Keep in mind that some Alexa features require an account to take full advantage of them.

                      Teen Driver Technology

                      For the young and new drivers in your family, Teen Driver Technology lets you keep tabs on their driving while offering features to help encourage good driving habits. You can set volume limits to minimize distractions, set speed warnings, and restrict maximum vehicle speeds with the speed limiter. All you have to do is set up a PIN for access and register your teen’s car key.

                      Teen Driver Technology is also the first of its kind to offer an in-vehicle report card – which comes in handy for helping your teen become a better, safer driver. To make sure your teens don’t forget to buckle up, the Buckle-to-Drive feature prevents them from shifting out of Park for 20 seconds while also displaying visual and audible alerts. Teen Driver Technology also lets you automatically mute the audio until everyone’s buckled up.
