The 2024 Cadillac XT5 vs. The Competition

The 2024 Cadillac XT5 and the Competition

Looking for a new luxury SUV for sale near you? At Cable Dahmer Cadillac of Kansas City, our team can help with that. With the 2024 Cadillac XT5, you can get a vehicle that offers performance and practicality. Better yet, it comes with Cadillac luxury. But how does the new Cadillac XT5 compare to its rivals? Let’s find out.
The 2024 Cadillac XT5 is a luxury crossover ready for Kansas City.

Performance

The 2024 Cadillac XT5 offers two capable engine options - a 235 horsepower 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder and a 310 horsepower 3.6L V6. While the Lexus RX 350's 275 horsepower 2.4L turbo 4-cylinder and the Lincoln Nautilus' 250 horsepower 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder provide adequate power, the Cadillac XT5's available V6 gives it an edge for those seeking more spirited performance.

The Cadillac XT5 also impresses with its smooth 9-speed automatic transmission and available all-wheel drive system that provides confident traction and handling. Cadillac's real-time damping suspension, exclusive to the Sport trim, further enhances the Cadillac XT5's ride and handling balance.

    Interior

The Cadillac XT5 boasts a spacious and well-appointed interior with premium materials and a generous helping of standard luxury amenities. With 30 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 63 cubic feet with them folded, the XT5 offers more room for luggage and gear than the RX 350's 46.2 cubic feet and the Nautilus' 68.8 cubic feet.

Passengers will appreciate the XT5's comfortable seating, including standard 8-way power front seats and available heated/ventilated front seats and heated rear outboard seats. The cabin is also whisper-quiet thanks to Cadillac's active noise cancellation and laminated glass.

      Technology & Safety

Every XT5 comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and a Bose 8-speaker audio system. A 14-speaker Bose Performance Series surround-sound system and embedded navigation are available.

The XT5 also offers a comprehensive suite of standard and available driver-assist technologies to bolster safety and confidence behind the wheel. Key features include:
      • Standard forward collision alert with automatic emergency braking
      • Front pedestrian detection
      • Lane keep assist with lane departure warning
      • Rear park assist
Available upgrades include adaptive cruise control, automatic parking assist, night vision, and a rear camera mirror with a washer.

        The Verdict

While the Lexus RX 350 and Lincoln Nautilus are both excellent luxury SUVs, the 2024 Cadillac XT5 makes a compelling case for itself with its:
        • Potent available V6 engine and refined driving dynamics
        • Roomy, luxurious, and tranquil interior
        • Generous cargo capacity
        • Extensive array of premium amenities and technologies
