Normally I am very pleased with the service performed, and have always serviced this vehicle here, but this time I feel like I was taken advantage of. Went in for state inspection and emission tests and an oil change and tire rotation. The vehicle has about 35,000 miles. I received an email stating there were several other things that needed to be done, wiper blades, cabin filter, rear brakes were getting low but would pass inspection and a coolant flush/replacement. I agreed to the wiper blades and coolant flush. The following day, being curious, I checked the coolant flush service interval, and discovered that the recommended mileage is at 150,000 miles. Big difference. This is what gives dealerships a bad rep. Won't be going back, unless its a recall.

We want to clarify the manufacturer's recommendation for a coolant flush on your 2020 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado. The service interval is 150,000 miles or 5 years, whichever comes first. As your vehicle is now 6 years old, the coolant flush was due based on the time interval, regardless of the mileage. We understand that the 150,000-mile interval may have been the most prominent information you encountered, and we apologize if the importance of the time-based recommendation was not clearly communicated. Our service department follows the manufacturer's recommended service intervals to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of your vehicle.
