Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty
A bumper-to-bumper limited warranty has the potential to save you a significant amount of time during the first three years (or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first) of your Chevy ownership.
It can cover any kind of defects that occur within the material or workmanship of the tires. It will also cover the entire vehicle for repairs where there has been a defect in materials.
Parts and labor would be covered. And the best part is that towing your vehicle to the nearest authorized dealership for the repairs to be completed is also included.

Powertrain Limited Warranty
The powertrain limited warranty is longer – and it covers either 5 years or 60,000 miles depending on which comes first. Several repairs would be covered, including parts and labor, because of either workmanship or a defect in the materials.
Some of the covered items include:
• Engine components like the engine block, oil pump, manifolds, cylinder head, gaskets, and more
• Transmission/Transaxle: mounts, seals, gaskets, and internal electrical components
• Transfer case (if equipped)
• Drive system components like universal joints, propeller shafts, axle shafts, drive housing, bearings, and more
Anything that is considered wear and tear would not be covered. Additionally, there are several components that would not be covered within the powertrain limited warranty, such as coolant and cooling lines, hoses, wiring and connectors, and sensors.

Emission Control Systems Warranty
The new vehicle warranty offered by Chevy also includes what is offered by the Federal Emissions Control Warranty. The emission control system on your vehicle is covered – and if it is certified for CA regulations, it will also be covered by the California Emission Control System Warranty.
The warranty that you get will depend heavily on the emissions component and the type of vehicle that you have.
If you have a light-duty car like a Malibu, the components would be warranted for 2 years/24,000 miles. In some instances, catalytic converters, engine control modules, and other emissions-related components may be warranted for up to 8 years/80,000 miles.
If you have a heavy-duty truck, such as a Silverado, the emissions-related components would be warranted for up to 8 years or 80,000 miles.
