    To further improve your towing capability, many of the transmissions also make a tow/haul mode available. This feature helps to improve your capability and efficiency by preventing your transmission from “hunting” for gears, especially when towing up a steep hill.
    Trailer Sway Control is also available to keep your trailer steady when traversing along winding back roads or encountering strong highway crosswinds.

      Loading and unloading each box is simple, as well, thanks to the available Power-Up/-Down Tailgate. This opens and closes the tailgate with the simple press of a button on the key fob, in the cabin, or on the gate itself. You can then easily climb into the bed using the standard cornerstep rear bumper with nonslip treads.
      If you need to power up any tools while you’re on-site, you can do so with the available 120-volt power outlet built into the rear passenger-side wall of the bed.
      In all, this truck can accommodate a total payload of 2,280 pounds.

        Safety Technology and Driver-Assist Features

        While the Chevrolet Silverado isn’t afraid of manual labor, it also has many available automated systems that are meant to help make your job a bit easier. This includes systems like available Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert.
        Side Blind Zone Alert provides a visual cue on your sideview mirrors when another car enters your side blind spot. Lane Change Alert will also kick in when you activate your turn signal to tell you if traffic is approaching too quickly in your intended lane to allow you to merge safely.
        If you prefer tactile clues to audio/visual ones, you can instead use the available Safety Alert Seat. This provides alerts via a vibration in the seat.
