New 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV

The Chevrolet Bolt EV slots in as a versatile and compact electric vehicle that offers up ample power, tech, and safety. The 2021 model year of the Bolt EV is mostly a carryover from the previous year, with one exception. The 2021 model year adds DC fast charging as a standard feature to the Premier trim. The new Chevrolet Bolt EV is available in one engine configuration and two trim levels. The Chevy Bolt EV trim lineup consists of the Bolt EV LT and the Bolt EV Premier.

Performance

Both trim levels of the Chevrolet Bolt EV comes outfitted with an AC synchronous electric motor that makes 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. The Bolt EV offers up 259 miles of range on a full charge. If you opt for the DC fast charge addition, then you can enjoy up to 100 miles of range on a 30-minute charge time. If you're utilizing a 240-volt outlet, then you can expect 10 hours of charge time to reach a full battery.

Safety

The Bolt EV comes standard with all the classic safety equipment you'd expect while making driver assistance features an available upgrade. The Bolt EV LT trim includes seat belts for all seating positions and airbags. The Bolt EV LT also comes outfitted with an external sound generator, which can warn pedestrians. The top-level Bolt EV Premier goes further, adding blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a rear camera mirror, and a 360-degree camera system.

Interior Features

Regardless of the trim level that Paulding drivers select, you can expect ample interior features. The Bolt EV LT includes automatic climate control, keyless entry, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment display. The Bolt EV Premier includes heated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and ambient cabin lighting.

Two Available Chevy Bolt EV Trims

The Chevy Bolt EV might be a smart choice if you're looking to cut your fuel consumption. This all-electric vehicle offers a smooth ride and has a relatively spacious cabin. It's a practical choice for our Paulding customers looking for efficient vehicles with modern styles and some high-tech features. In addition, these cars have a good amount of interior space. The second-row legroom is 36.5 inches, so adults can fit in the back seat without an issue. The trunk has a volume of 16.9 cubic feet, and remember the rear seats fold down to create even more storage space.

      Both of these trims have the same mechanical components under their hoods. The electric motor makes the Bolt feel responsive and light on its feet. A cool feature is the paddle on the steering wheel that can act as a brake pedal. By taking one's foot off the gas and using this steering-wheel-mounted paddle, you can increase regenerative braking. Only the Premier has DC fast charging capabilities. This may matter if you'll want to charge your Bolt reasonably quickly.
