6.2-Liter V8 Engine
The 2020 Silverado 1500 is more powerful and advanced than ever before. The strong 6.2-liter V8 engine is more widely available, so you can now opt for the engine on over half of the Silverado 1500 trims. When paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, the engine can achieve 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Duramax® Turbo-Diesel Engine
Another new addition to the 2020 model is the all-new 3.0-liter Duramax® Turbo-Diesel engine. This engine reaches 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. It’s available on the RST, LTZ, LT and High Country models.New Technology
The 2020 Silverado 1500 is also available with a variety of new technology options. To make trailering easier, there are 15 unique camera views available, including a transparent trailer feature. You can utilize the available Adaptive Cruise Control – Camera for convenient driving. This system monitors the traffic ahead to keep a safe distance between you and the vehicle in front of you. It can even stop the truck as needed.Durabed
One impressive feature that is staying on the 2020 Silverado 1500 is the Durabed. This functional bed is made of roll-formed high-strength steel and comes with 12 standard tie-downs to hold cargo in place. There’s even an available power-up/-down tailgate that allows you to raise and lower the tailgate by simply pushing a button.
