Confirmed Service Customer
I replaced my air filter on my truck and the truck threw a code that something was wrong with my air filtration system and the dealership decided that it was not covered under warranty since they did not do the service. I was told that the truck needed a hard reset and they would be charging for the service.. I have not received a reasonable explanation for the determination. I bought the OEM filter from Bob McCosh and installed it in the manner required. If having someone else do the maintenance on my truck voids the warranty I cannot find it in the documentation for the vehicle.
