2021 Chevrolet Blazer Overview
Mid-size, sporty SUVs don't come sportier than the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer. The 2021 Blazer is a new creation, determined to take on its chief competitor: the 2021 Ford Bronco. Given the outcome of our 2021 Chevrolet Bronco vs 2021 Ford Bronco comparison, though, maybe it's the Bronco that should be on the defensive. The Blazer's new look has a substantially more mature demeanor than a surprisingly juvenile showing from the Bronco. It doesn't mean the Bronco's not fun for its purpose. It does mean it might not be suited to be a family SUV. The Blazer? It serves both audiences. M K Smith Chevrolet is serving Chino Glendora Ontario Inland Empire with a few more reasons you'll want to consider abandoning the Bronco for the Blazer.

The Bronco is a very old school looking off-road SUV. It is intentionally built that way, and we don't fault it for sticking to its roots. However, as a practical everyday SUV that you want to turn heads in traffic, it fails on a spectacular level. This is partially because the Bronco never looks quite uniform enough to look like a high performance vehicle. It pales into comparison with models like the Jeep Renegade. And it also pales in comparison to the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer. The Blazer's colorful outlook is fueled by paint options like Cherry red tintcoat, Silver ice metallic, and Bright blue metallic, considerably more grown up than the Bronco's paint choices. It starts off with a base model that has 18-inch aluminum wheels and moves onto a Premier trim that has 20-inch wheels and even optional 21-inch wheels. The extra height with those wheels is well worth paying for if you're adventurous and have the money to spare. An angular and strapping grille on the Blazer makes the flat and old school grille of the Bronco look bad.

Safety - 2021 Chevrolet Blazer in Chino CA
Both the Blazer and the Bronco have exceptional safety features. This is the one area where the Bronco at least pretends to keep up. You'll find standard lane keeping systems and automatic high beams are ample on both models. However, Chevrolet's driver-assist features appear on higher trims, while the Ford Bronco seems insistent that you pay for safety. The excellent Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System is ran by an 8-inch diagonal color touchscreen on the Blazer. The Bronco gets a larger touchscreen, too, but people have found the picture quality to be lacking and a bit grainy. In the meantime, you're Blazer gives you up to the minute camera angles all around your vehicle. It also gives you advanced safety equipment standard on the 1LT and beyond, things like rear cross traffic alert, lane change alert with side blind zone alert, and rear park assist. The 2LT and beyond gives you automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, and forward collision alert. It's a more well-rounded safety platform than the Bronco gives you.

Chevrolet Blazer Mechanical specs
The base models of the Blazer and Bronco start off in a close race, but the Blazer wins out at 193 horsepower vs 181 horsepower for the Bronco Outer Banks. Where the Bronco completely falls out of the race is when you examine both of their top of the line powertrains. The Blazer's 3.6L 308 horsepower engine is substantially more powerful than the 250 horsepower 2.0L engine offered on the Bronco Badlands. This poor showing by the Bronco's performance is certain to put a damper on the unique trim names they've come up with this year. The Blazer proves that gimmicky trim names may be fun, but when you've got the winning powertrains, the game is over. The Blazer likewise has a better transmission. Its 9-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission steadily bests the 8-speed auto transmission supplied by the Bronco.

Winner - 2021 Chevrolet Blazer dealer
This should come as no surprise, but the 2021 Blazer very quietly makes short work of the Bronco. Its expansive trim lineup, bold 21-inch wheel options, black perforated leather-appointed seating surfaces (with red accents on the RS trim) all make for a family SUV that's beautiful all around. The Bronco goes for the skies on off-road equipment, and it certainly is a great model for off-roading, but why grab just an off-road vehicle when you can have both off-road equipment and a family SUV that looks upscale when it's on the road? For the better SUV, the Blazer is the choice.
