    How to Program a Chevy Key Fob

    With the Chevy remote start key fob you need to program on-hand, follow these convenient steps to program it:

    1. Unlock your vehicle with the key (not the remote transmitter).
    2. Make sure all vehicle doors are completely closed. 
    3.  Insert your key into the ignition, but don’t start the vehicle.
    4. Press and hold the main unlock button on the driver’s side door.
    5.  Turn your key to the “On” position -- see owner’s manual for details on key positions. (When “on”, interior lights and radio lights will turn on, but the engine will not).
    6. Turn the key back to the “Off” position, then turn it to “On” and “Off” one more time. (On - Off - On - Off) 
    7. Release your unlock button.
    8. After releasing your unlock button, you’ll hear the door locks engage and disengage. That means the programming sequence can begin.
    9. Press and hold both “Unlock” and “Lock” on your Chevy key fob at the same time until you hear the door locks engage and disengage once more, which signifies you have successfully programmed your key fob. 
    10. Re-insert the newly programmed key into the ignition in the “On” position to end the programming sequence.
