Besides a variety of trims, six unique engine options emphasize the 2021 Silverado's diversity. A 2.7-liter turbo engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission starts the lineup. This powertrain offers a respectable 310 horsepower and 348 pound-feet of torque.
Next up is a 4.3-liter EcoTec3 V-6 engine. This engine is matched with a six-speed automatic transmission, both combining to produce 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque. It also features active fuel management technology for enhanced efficiency.
There are two 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V-8s, one of which features Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) technology. This engine with DFM combines with either an eight-speed or a 10-speed automatic transmission to supply 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque.
A 6.2-liter V-8 monster rounds out the gasoline-powered engines. This powertrain is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and generates an impressive 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
Chevrolet is also offering a diesel option, a Duramax 3.0-liter turbo engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine produces the perfect balance of power and efficiency, boasting 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
