I would like to compliment the Waterford Joe Lunghamer Chevrolet team for providing an outstanding buying experience. Michelle Newkirk was very prompt in responding to my initial email and putting me in contact with Kevin Rangel, the sales person.
Kevin did a great job in showing the cars, turning me loose in several demos and even set up an audio comparison for me so I could listen to the optional sound system and decide if I wanted it. Kevin continued to follow up with my order status on a regular basis and helped set up all of our discounts, including a last minute surprise, a $500 NAIAS discount coupon that I didn't know about. He was great when I decided at the last minute to add the Nav system and had to order a new car as the first order was too far along to change. He simply ordered the upfitted car immediately, within minutes of my call, and didn't say one word about the first car being built and sent to the dealer other than "Don't worry about the other car - not a problem". A real class act.
Kevin set up the financing person to meet with us. She was very professional and found an even lower rate than we expected. She also explained the various added coverages very thoroughly in a professional, no pressure, manner. Very nicely done. We purchased two of the options, something we rarely do, because we thought they were "value added" and would save us money in the long run.
Kevin called me after I picked up the car to see how I liked it and to reiterate that he would help me pick out pinstriping colors by providing short lengths of various shades for me to try, something he had committed to do earlier.
The box of fresh, natural ingredient cookies was a very thoughtful touch. Thank you for the tasty treat!!
My wife and I have not purchased a new Chevrolet since 1988 because our buying experiences were so horrible. Between a salesperson who couldn't explain how he arrived at the vehicle bottom line cost to finding "a little something extra for you we thought you would like" tacked onto the final price of the vehicle that amounted to almost 6% of the car's cost, we swore off Chevrolet and started buying Saturns.
It's nice to know the Saturn buying experience (great) is being carried on at Joe Lunghamer Waterford Chevrolet.
We will be buying a Chevy Volt later this year and we will be calling Kevin Rangel to order the car. That is the ultimate compliment to any dealership.
By the way, our Cruze Eco manual is a terrific automobile. Nice going GM.
