Overview
The all-new 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 is here to set the standard for full-sized pickup trucks. This new generation of Sierra has the powerful performance necessary to tackle even the hardest of jobs. This model year also introduces the world’s first six-function MultiPro tailgate, which allows for more efficient access to the cargo box than ever before. With its spacious interior, advanced infotainment system, and innovative safety technology, the Sierra delivers today’s desired amenities to complement the exceptional performance you expect from a top-of-the-line light-duty truck. When properly equipped with the available 6.2-liter V8 and Max Trailering Package, the ’19 Sierra can tow up to 12,200 pounds.

Trims & Mechanical Features
The 2019 Sierra 1500 is available in six trims, with a choice of two drivetrains, three cab configurations, and five engines. The base Sierra trim comes standard with a 4.3-liter V6 EcoTec3 engine that delivers 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft. of torque. Other features for the base Sierra also include an infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and a 7-inch touchscreen, six-speaker audio system, and integrated backup camera. The Elevation trim, which is new for 2019, includes standard keyless open and start, LED fog lamps, and tailgate with EZ-lift assist. The SLE trim receives a more powerful 2.7-liter turbocharged engine producing 310 horsepower and 348 lb.-ft. of torque, a larger (8-inch) touchscreen on the infotainment system, and remote keyless entry. The SLT trim features an upgraded 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine that delivers 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque, the all-new MultiPro tailgate, high-intensity LED headlamps and taillamps, 10-way power-adjustable heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. Next, the off-road ready AT4 is only available in four-wheel drive. It also comes equipped with a 2-inch suspension lift, 2-speed AutoTrac transfer case, dual-outlet exhaust, and red vertical recovery hooks. The highest trim, Denali, receives luxury upgrades such as GMC’s premium infotainment system with navigation, wireless charging, and heated rear seats, as well as safety features like lane change alert with side blind-zone alert, front and rear park assist, and a safety alert back seat, which vibrates to warn the driver of a hazard on either side of the truck.
Safety & Technology
With a five-star NHTSA overall safety rating, the Sierra is one of the safest half-ton pickups ever. Standard features on all Sierra models include a rear-vision camera, six airbags, rear seat reminder, and tire pressure monitoring system. Other available advanced safety features include forward collision alert, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert, and low speed forward automatic braking. For additional peace of mind, the Sierra also has helpful services such as Teen Driver, OnStar Safety & Security, and roadside assistance program.
This model year brings a plethora of easy-to-use high-tech features to keep you connected and entertained. Standard features on all trims include Bluetooth audio, GMC’s infotainment system with touch-screen display, a USB port, and 12-volt auxiliary front power outlet. Other available advanced technology features include Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Bose Premium Sound System, HD Radio, SiriusXM, navigation, 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless charging. The myGMC mobile app also enables remote commands, management of vehicle maintenance, and the setting of parking reminders remotely from your smartphone.
