2020 Cadillac CT4 - Fort Worth, TX
For decades, Cadillac has been the premier name for American luxury cars, and with the 2020 lineup, they are looking to take their reputation a step further. The 2020 Cadillac CT4 will replace the successful Cadillac ATS and offer an incredible blend of luxurious styling and performance design. If you want a vehicle that is incredibly comfortable and offers all the sophistication you could want from a Cadillac with a mid-performance experience that you would expect from a coupe, then the CT4 is a great choice.
Right now, a lot of the details on the 2020 Cadillac CT4 are still being kept under wraps, so the pricing and exact release date are estimates at this time. The details we do have, however, already have us quite excited about the powerful engines and drivetrains that will be available when the CT4 starts hitting showroom floors. Just as the ATS-V offered an even more high-performance option for the standard ATS, the CT4 will have a V model available for those seeking the thrill of even greater speed and power.
Here at Frank Kent Cadillac, we are always excited when a new model Cadillac hits the road, and the CT4 is one of our most anticipated releases. The ATS was such a fantastic vehicle, seeing the designers and developers at Cadillac learn from it and iterate to a new level with the 2020 CT4 should be amazing. If you would like to learn more about the CT4 or any other vehicle in Cadillac’s lineup, give us a call or come visit us at Frank Kent Cadillac today.

Performance
One of the key features of the 2020 Cadillac CT4 is that it combines the luxury of a Cadillac sedan with terrific performance that you would expect to find in a sports car. Much of this performance comes from the fantastic engines and drivetrain options available on the CT4. Whether you choose the standard setup or optional engine, you will get a truly amazing driving experience.
The standard engine in the CT4 is a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder beauty that provides up to 237 hp and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine comes with a standard 8-speed automatic transmission with rear-wheel drive for an exhilarating overall driving experience. Of course, if that is not quite enough power for you, then there is another option.
The available upgrade is a 2.7L turbo 4-cylinder engine with standard output that can produce up to 309 hp and 348 lb.-ft. of torque in the Premium Luxury and Sport trims. This more powerful engine is available with a 10-speed automatic transmission for a smooth and comfortable driving experience on these two trims as well.
While the available CT4 trim levels will offer tremendous performance and sophisticated features inside and out, there will also be a CT4-V model available in limited quantities. If you are looking for the ultimate driving experience with the CT4, then you should strongly consider this option. While all of the details are still being worked out on the CT4-V, there are some things we know for sure. The CT4-V comes standard with the 2.7L turbo high-output version engine and 10-speed automatic transmission, as well as, performance suspension, a mechanical limited-slip rear differential, and selectable drive modes. These features bring the CT4-V up to an estimated 325 hp and 380 lb.-ft. of torque. Summer performance tires come standard on the CT4-V, but all-season run-flat tires will be available on all-wheel drive models. Rear-wheel drive models of the CT4-V will come with Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 from GM, which provides a limited-slip rear differential and an amazing driving experience overall.
Information regarding the fuel economy and other features of these engines has not yet been released by Cadillac. We do know, however, that active fuel management and automatic stop/start will be available on both engines, which means they should be quite efficient and minimize stops at the gas pump. Once we get specific details, we will provide that information as soon as possible.
Interior
We have a good idea about the features that will be available inside the 2020 Cadillac CT4, but specifics on each trim level are still being worked out, so some details could still change before the CT4 hits the road. As such, please keep in mind that this information is as accurate as possible at the moment, but is all subject to change prior to the actual release.
As of right now, standard equipment on the starting Luxury trim includes keyless entry and push-button start, a pair of driver information displays, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and dual-zone climate control. LED interior lighting, an HD rearview camera, an 8-inch touchscreen, 4G LTE Wi-Fi, Apple Carplay and Android Auto, and a premium audio system are also expected to be standard features on all CT4 models. Cadillac has announced that the CT4 will feature a new digital vehicle platform that will allow it to take advantage of over-the-air updates to system software and feature new cybersecurity measures. Additional features will depend on if you choose one of the other two trim levels.
The Premium Luxury trim level is expected to add leather-trimmed seating and additional details throughout the interior. If you go for the higher-performance Sport trim, then you will get a sport steering wheel, magnesium shift paddles, and alloy pedals to support the aesthetic and performance nature of the trim. The interior of the 2020 Cadillac CT4-V will feature a Bose premium audio system and a wireless charging pad that really showcases the luxury and sophistication of this vehicle.
As for safety in this performance sedan, plenty of features come standard, such as airbags all around, performance brakes, an HD rear vision camera, and traction and stability control. Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Reflective LED windshield collision alert, and Rear Park Assist are among standard safety features on the upper three trims. Additional features like Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Front Park Assist, advanced Adaptive Cruise Control, and teen diver are upgrades for those trims. Although RWD is standard, available AWD across all models allows the CT4 to be a step up for those who experience winter weather or difficult driving conditions as well.
Exterior
Because there are few concrete details still concerning a lot of the features of the 2020 Cadillac CT4, we do not yet know everything about the outside of this beauty. What we do know so far, however, has us convinced that it will be a welcome addition to the current lineup and prove itself a worthy successor to the ATS. Some of these features will impact the overall performance of the CT4, so keep that in mind when considering your exterior options.
The standard CT4 comes with 17-inch aluminum wheels with all-season self-sealing tires. If you choose the Premium Luxury trim level, then you get 18-inch aluminum wheels with all-season tires. On the Sport trim level, all-season run-flat tires are standard to keep you on the road as much as possible. There are also four drive modes available, which are selectable while on the road and alter the transmission shifting, steering, and brake feel to let you more easily adapt to road changes and your environment.
The exterior styling of the CT4 has been designed to draw in a more youthful group to the luxury market. There are also unique changes between each trim level for buyers to achieve their desired look. The base trim features a Luxury-theme grille and front styling, Galvano Silver accents, trapezoid dual-exhaust, and red taillamp lenses. Moving up to the Premium Luxury, the body-colored door handles feature a more chrome look, and the rear diffuser becomes black. In the Sport model, dark mesh grille and front fascia, Cadillac logo Brembo front brakes, a body-color rear spoiler, transparent taillamp lenses, black rocker molding extensions, and other black accents are added or modified. Carbon Flash dark finish grille, V logo Brembo front brakes, V badges, and Quad trapezoid exhaust tips are all added to the CT4-V trim. With many distinguishing characteristics between each trim, drivers are able to have a look unique to their own styling.
