2024 GMC Sierra 3500 HD - Performance

A gas powertrain is standard for the new GMC Sierra 3500 HD near Hawthorne and features a 6.6L V8: 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. A diesel powertrain is optional and features a turbocharged 6.6L V8: 470 hp and 975 lb.-ft. Both engines are available with rear- and four-wheel drive and paired with an Allision 10-speed automatic transmission in either case.

The latest GMC infotainment software with voice control is standard. The Pro and SEL have an 8-inch touch screen. All other models have 13.4-inch touch screen. Standard driver assists for the new GMC Sierra 3500 HD near Hawthorne include a rearview camera, lane departure warning and forward collision warning with intervention. There are many options driver assists as well, including blind-spot monitoring, a surround-view camera, a digital rearview camera and a head-up display.

Minimum towing capacity is 14,500 pounds. Maximum towing capacity with the Class V hitch is 18,700 pounds with the gas engine and 20,000 pounds with the diesel engine. With a fifth-wheel or gooseneck hitch, maximum towing capacity is 19,080 pounds with the gas engine and 36,000 pounds with the diesel engine.
