Performance of the new Acadia

The new GMC Acadia comes standard with a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that comes paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. That gives you up to 193 horsepower and up to 188 lb-ft of torque along with an impressive 27 mpg on the highway. This EcoTec engine has efficiency features such as Active Fuel Management and Stop/Start technology that helps aid in its fuel efficiency.

Two other engine options are available to help you get more power when you need it. The available 2.0L Turbocharged 4-cylinder engine provides up to 230 horsepower and up to 358 lb-ft of torque. It's paired with the nine-speed automatic transmission and the same fuel-saving features as the 2.5L model.

Trims like the Acadia AT4 make use of the 3.6L V6 for an impressive 310 horsepower and up to 271 lb-ft of torque. That lets you tow up to 4,000 pounds and maintains a 27 mpg on the highway.

Technology
The Acadia is designed to help you stay connected whether you're on a road trip or commuting to work. Five charging ports are located between the front, second, and third rows of seats to make sure that everyone can charge their favorite devices as you drive from Park City KS to Derby KS. You can even equip the Acadia with wireless charging as well.

The interactive eight-inch touchscreen enables you to use your voice to make calls, send messages, and play your favorite music without taking your eyes off the road. The GMC Infotainment System can connect your compatible Android and Apple smartphones to use some of your favorite apps right within your Acadia.

You can even equip the Acadia with the 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot so that you and your passengers can stay connected on the road. The infotainment system can also be used to get navigation information to make sure you can get to your destination with ease.

With the available Head-Up Display you can see information such as speed, audio, and navigation system right on the windshield. The six-inch display can be customized to give you a wide range of driving details to make sure you can stay focused on the road ahead.

Safety
Safety is an important part of the GMC Acadia. Safety features like Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert give you side mirror alerts when other vehicles are approaching or in your side blind spots.

The Acadia features a high definition Rear Vision Camera to give you a full view of what's behind you on the eight-inch infotainment screen. It will also provide you with on-screen guides on the display to help guide you into your parking spot. Combined with the Rear Park Assist, the Acadia will alert you when it detects other objects behind the SUV to avoid hitting them at lower speeds.

Crowded parking lots can make it hard to see behind you when backing up. The Rear Cross Traffic Alert system will warn you when there's traffic coming from the left or right once you put the SUV in reverse. These safety systems work together as part of the Driver Alert Package I to help provide driver-assistance features while on the road.

Interior
With three rows of seating, the GMC Acadia has a wide range of storage options available. The second row of seating has a storage drawer to store some of your belongings. When you fold down the second and third row of seating, you can get up to 79 cubic feet of cargo space to make sure you have all of your gear and belongings for your trip. There's even the new under-console storage as well for more storage solutions.
