Trim Levels

The Spark comes in four trim levels. The LS features 15-inch steel wheels, a rear spoiler, and halogen headlamps. The 1LT adds alloy wheels, fog lights, and the option of a powered sunroof. The more luxurious 2LT gives you chrome exterior trim. The ACTIV trim offers less standard equipment than the 2LT, but it provides a more rugged look and greater ground clearance, along with special wheels and luggage rails.

    Engine

    All versions of the Spark are equipped with a 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine producing 98 horsepower and 94 pound-feet of torque. The front wheels are powered via either a standard five-speed manual transmission or CVT (Continuously Variable automatic Transmission).

      Performance

      The Spark's sharp steering contributes to superb maneuverability. You will have great fun hurrying around the city, squeezing through small gaps, and progressing faster than drivers of bigger, more powerful cars. In terms of pure acceleration, the Spark is not going to break any records, but you can expect a CVT version to get from 0-60 mph in just over 11 seconds.         Interior

        Four people can be seated in the Spark, and when all the seats are in use, there is still a handy 11 cubic feet of luggage capacity, increasing to 27.2 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.

        Every model comes with air conditioning, a 7-inch touch screen, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, and benefits from Chevrolet's OnStar system, which provides a 4G in-car Wi-Fi hot spot. All models also have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, as well as the safety and convenience of a rearview camera.

        The LS features a four-speaker audio system. The 1LT upgrades this to a six-speaker system and adds remote keyless entry and a security alarm. The 1LT also offers cruise control, power-assisted windows, mirrors and locks, and steering wheel mounted controls. ACTIV models provide a leather steering wheel and mock leather seats, plus heating for the front seats. The top-of-the-range 2LT adds a push-button starting system, rear parking sensors, and an upgraded information display.

          Safety

          All Sparks are fitted with a reassuringly wide range of safety equipment. Every model features 10 air bags, hill-start assist, a tire pressure monitoring system, and an electronic stability control system featuring traction control. LT and ACTIV models add automatic emergency unlocking, while the 2LT offers the option of the Driver Confidence Pack, incorporating a lane departure warning system and a forward collision warning system with automatic emergency braking at low speeds.
