Trim Levels
The 2019 Silverado 1500 has eight trim levels to choose from including the LT Trail Boss, Custom Trail Boss, WT, LT, RST, LTZ, Work Truck, and High County. With all the options available, you'll be able to make your Silverado uniquely your own. There are multiple colors to choose from such as Shadow Gray Metallic, Red Hot, Oakwood Metallic, and Iridescent Pearl Metallic. The LT and LTZ have a chrome center bar, mirror camps, and bumpers. The Custom Trail Boss comes standard with 18-inch black wheels that have off-road tires.
Engine
There are a variety of engine options depending on which trim level you get. The High Country and LTZ trim levels have a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that has dynamic fuel management. The LTZ, LT Trail Boss, and High Country come standard with a 3-liter V-8 engine that has dynamic fuel management.
The Custom, Custom Trail Boss, and WT trim levels have a 4.3-liter V-6 engine and the option of a 5.3-liter V-8 engine that has active fuel management. The RST and LT trims come standard with a 2.7-liter turbo engine. The RST, LTZ, LT, and High Country have the option of the L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine.
Performance
The LTZ and High Country trims have an automatic transmission with ten speeds, 420 horsepower, and 460 pound-feet of torque. The LTZ, LT Trail Boss, and High Country have an 8-speed automatic transmission and 383 pound-feet of torque and 355 horsepower. The Custom, Custom Trail Boss, and WT trims have 305 pound-feet of torque and 285 horsepower and the option of a six-speed automatic transmission, 383 pound-feet of torque, and 355 horsepower.
The RST and LT trims have an 8-speed transmission, 348 pound-feet of torque, and 310 horsepower. The RST, LTZ, LT, and High Country have an optional automatic transmission with ten speeds.
Interior
The inside of the vehicle has plenty of storage space with room in the center console and in the back under the seats. A 15-inch Head-Up Display is available to let you know information about your vehicle right on the windshield, including navigation and how fast you're going. You'll also have the option to turn the truck into a 4G Wi-Fi hot spot so everyone can stay connected. Hands-free texting and calling are also available to integrate with your smartphone so you can stay safe on the road at all times.
Safety
There are plenty of safety features in the vehicle that you'll love. Low speed forward automatic braking will automatically apply the brakes when driving at a low speed if the driver hasn't and a possible forward collision is detected. This helps decrease the impact or even avoid it altogether. Front pedestrian braking lets the driver know if a person is detected in front of the vehicle and will even apply the brakes if needed to avoid hitting them.
