With the merger in 1988, Cable Dahmer Chevrolet of Independence was able to extend their services to the greater Kansas City area. Before Gene Cable helped lay the ground work to your Chevy needs. Kansas City opened it's arms to Cable Chevrolet in 1957 which has famously stood tall on the "Miracle Mile" of dealerships in Independence, Missouri. During 1974, Gerald Dahmer laid foundation with Dahmer Chevrolet in Fairmont, a suburb of Independence. Combining the successes of both dealerships has helped the dependable Cable Dahmer namplate stay the course and since 1996, made Cable-Dahmer #1 in retail sales throughout the greater Kansas City area. Since then, the tradition continues to move forward with the purchase of Cable Dahmer of Kansas City in 2007 and Cable Dahmer Buick GMC Cadillac in 2012. Today, the Cable Dahmer group consists of eight different dealerships, including Cable Dahmer Kia and Cable Dahmer CDJR.

The Service Department at Cable-Dahmer is a busy place with 6 Service Consultants and two Service Managers to help you with your vehicle repair situations. Rich Frost is our Service Director and he runs a staff of 15 technicians, who are all Factory Trained and GM Certified.
We have 2 lube techs to get you in and out as quickly as possible for those routine oil changes.
Due to the volume in the service department, we suggest that you call ahead and schedule an appointment for your service work, (866) 618-1320. Should you choose to bring your vehicle in early, We offer a one way shuttle for your trip to work or back home.

Eight out of ten of our customers choose to finance their vehicles through Cable-Dahmer, which equates to $8.2 million per month in financial contracts. Financing a vehicle can be a complicated process, but it doesn't need to be. Financing is simply borrowing money to buy a vehicle and paying it back with interest over time. Because we have a great relationship with the banks we work with and because of the sheer number of loans we send to the banks, our finance department gets deals done that other dealerships can’t.
FINANCE FACTORS
Several factors determine your ability to get financed and the interest rate you will pay.
These are:
- Credit History
- Residence
- Job Stability
- Age & Miles of the Vehicle
- Down Payment
Credit History shows whether you have paid your bills on time and if you have any bills in collection. If you have a good credit history, a bank will be more willing to loan you money at a lower interest rate than someone with a checkered credit past.
The same goes for Job and Residence Stability. Have you been able to hold a steady job? Do you have your own place? It looks really great if you’ve had 2 years job time and residence. As for the vehicle, a bank is more willing to loan money for a newer vehicle with low miles than an older one with high miles. But, the Down Payment is probably the most important factor in determining your interest rate. According to the bank, the more you put down, the less likely you are to default on the loan.
But what happens if you have bad credit? Is there a way to start over and erase it? Unfortunately the answer is no. Bad credit will stick with you for a while, but you can get yourself straightened out by establishing a good current credit pattern. A regular car payment can help get your credit back on the right track. With money down, proof of income, a phone bill, six references and a genuine desire to better your credit, we can usually find a bank that will give you what you need.
