The standard model seats two, while the Extended Cab holds four, and the Crew Cab carries five.                   Performance of the 2017 GMC Canyon

                  GMC offers several engine choices for the Canyon. The standard issue is a 200-horsepower 4-cylinder that’s well suited for general purposes. If you have some serious work to do, you could consider the brawny V6 that pushes 308 horsepower. The Canyon may also be equipped with a 181-horsepower Duramax 2.8-liter turbodiesel capable of 369 pound-feet of torque. You may choose between a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic in the base, while the V6 can also pair with an eight-speed automatic. When properly outfitted for the job, the truck can tow as much as 7,700 pounds and haul 1,650 pounds. If you intend to go off-road, the pickup can be equipped with special performance tools like all-terrain tires, four-wheel drive, and enhanced suspension. The ride is surprisingly smooth for a truck, and the Canyon handles remarkably well for its class.
