2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 vs Ford F-150: Performance
The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 offers six dynamic powertrains, including an efficient 3.0L Turbo Diesel I-6 engine. Some of its other exciting options are:
• 4.3L EcoTec3 V6 engine with Active Fuel Management that gets up to 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque
• 2.7L Turbo engine with Active Fuel Management that gets up to 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque
• 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 with Dynamic Fuel Management that gets up to 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque
• 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 with Dynamic Fuel Management that can produce up to 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
The 2019 Ford F-150 also offers six engines, including its own diesel option. While they offer lots of horsepower, the base engine can’t deliver as much torque when you need it. Its smaller 3.3L Ti-VCT V6 powertrain can only muster 265 lb-ft of torque.
