2018 Traverse: Performance Specs

When choosing a midsize SUV such as the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse, you’re naturally going to have a few expectations. For one, you want it to have a little extra power. Nevertheless, this extra brawn shouldn’t compromise your efficiency.
 
Fortunately, the 3.6L 6-cylinder engine in the Traverse comes with a few helpful enhancements. Not only does it have a direct fuel injection system, it also has Start-Stop technology. This feature automatically turns the engine on and off during idling periods to conserve fuel.

It’s in large part due to these enhancements that the 2018 Traverse can achieve 27 MPG highway and 18 MPG city.1 However, it still generates a fair amount of power too, with 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque.
